Methodology and interactive gallery
Eleven variations of the same facial profile were digitally created, each subtly altering one anatomical structure (upper lip, lower lip, chin, or the lower third of the face) by 11 pixels — enough to be perceptible without being obvious. Hover (or tap) the thumbnails to compare the photographs.
How to participate: Look at the eleven photographs. Once you've chosen the face you find most attractive, mark the corresponding circle and fill in the fields below — it takes less than a minute. No identifiable information is requested or stored.

Privacy: No name, e-mail, or contact information is collected. We use an anonymous identifier only to prevent duplicate votes from the same browser. Demographic data is used exclusively in aggregate, for academic research purposes.
